Duck Sauce's Barbra Streisand video came out a few days ago. It's everything that's fun about New York City in 3 minutes and 14 seconds.
Barbra Streisand (Fare Soldi Remix) - Duck Sauce
Florence's Welch's voice is undeniably sexy in this 1986 classic. This has been out for months already but I just got wind of it today.
It's so funky, I'm gonna die! NYC-based disco group Midnight Magic has yet make waves on the blogosphere. The group has three former members of Brooklyn's Hercules & Love Affair: Andrew Raposo, Morgan Wiley and Carter Yasutake. To add to that, it's a must to know that Andrew and Morgan were once part of a Dim Mak project called Automato, where they worked with Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser of Holy Ghost!. The other awesome members of the group are Tiffany Roth, Caito Sanchez, Nick Roseboro, Jason Disu and Max Goldman.
Not holistically as soulful as his other tracks, but the vocals are still dead on. This being a Classixx production, you'll hear the signature synths and beats they've been using on their past couple of remixes.
The people over at Tenga Music sent over this track and it immediately caught my attention. Great stuff out of Swindon, England.
If Giselle says it isn't a shoe, it isn't a shoe!
Chaz Bundick made an appearance at Daytrotter recently. He left with a few of his tracks stripped down to the core of goodness. Beautiful acoustics. This is one for the headphones! You can download the session here.
My classes aren't as big as this but it sure does portray the whiteboard with precision. Those scribbles, along with the comfort of my seat caused me to fall asleep in class this morning for a few seconds at a time. Anyway, as I walked out of the building and back to my apartment, this song came on. Perfect for the cool weather that just came without notice.
As promised, the September mixtape is out today. Welcome to the -ber months people!| Reactions: |
